We are a small but passionate team of parents, dedicated to supporting the highest level of education and psycho-social development for the children of Little Gaddesden CofE Primary School. We believe that our children are the future, and integral part of the wonderful community of Little Gaddesden. Sadly, Government's today do not provide all the funds needed and therefore it is down to us as parents, and the wider local community, to raise additional funds and give our time to support our school, so even if you do not fancy a formal role in the charity, we welcome you to join in helping to organise, and attend events.

Helen Emms, Chair

As a mum of two children attending LG School, it is important to me that they get the best possible educational experience. Working for the Friends enables me to support my own little ones and future generations of children by helping to create a sustainable village school for years to come.

Heather Pearce, Treasurer

I'm a Mum of three, now full time home-maker since "retiring" after 17 years as an Accountant/Tax adviser to give more time to family!  Keeping the Friends books in order helps keep my brain in check and it's also fun to help run different events, meet other parents and know that we are enabling our school to be one of the best in England.

Pippa Martin, Secretary

I have always helped out where I can for the school since my eldest started, so when a committee role came up I was keen to take it on. It has been a great way to meet parents as well as gaining a better understanding of the school's priorities. My favourite role that I have undertaken would have to be a Christmas elf!

Jayne Dickinson , Reception

I am Jayne, mum to Mia and Jack. I love helping out at the FOLGS events and making a small difference to our school! It is always fun and eventful to say the least! Plus it is a great way to make new friends so do get involved if you can.

Helena Mayes, Year 1

My son has started year 1 this year and is having a wonderful experience. I helped with the Christmas Fayre last year and whilst it was a challenge it was also great fun and well worth the effort.

Eleanor Mitchel, Year 2

I have two children at Little Gaddesden School and couldn't be happier with their educational experiences and opportunities. I am delighted to support the Friends to be able to achieve their fund raising goals for the school, and to try to ensure the future of the school for our village.

Gemma Biggerstaff, Year 3

I've just joined the Friends this year and am loving getting stuck in with organising and attending events. My children also love the fact that I'm helping the school to ensure they get to go on trips and have loads of fun equipment to support their learning.

Claire Franklin, Year 4

I have two children at the school and am delighted to support the school through the Friends. I am the one running around the playground sorting out mugs, tea-towels, and advertising for our main events. It's great to be involved and we have lots of fun in the process.

 Claire White, Year 4

My daughter Phoebe and has been fortunate to benefit from the opportunities created as a result of the work of the Friends. When not busy working as a freelance marketing copywriter in Tring, I spend most of my spare time in and around Ashridge either walking my dog (Pippin) or horse riding. I can also be spotted supporting Tottenham Hotspur, visiting galleries, at concerts and reading books.

Amy Crampton, Year 5

The school's future is very important to me as I was also a pupil a long time ago! As a working mum with three children now at the school, I want to be involved as much as I can. I enjoy the fact that the school is such a big part of the village community and the FOLGS events are always fun.

Anne Consendine, Year 6

My son has been at Little Gaddesden School since Reception, and I couldn't be happier the amazing opportunities he's been given - many of which are down to the Friends fundraising efforts.

As well as acting as Year Rep, I'm also a Governor of the School and I help co-ordinate kids tennis. But my claim to fame has to be that I was the original Elf in the Christmas Grotto!
